Voodoo, voudon, vudou is often concidered to be an evil religion with zombies and needles. Those ideas are based on the imagination of Hollywood, though. The basic voodoo is a very tolerant
and gentle religion of the nature and of survival. Some years ago, a young antropologist Anna-Maija Calderón went to Benin to study voodoo for her doctoral thesis. At that time she was ordained to be a voodoo priestess. Some time ago she returned to Benin to meet her friends.
